Vintage Lemoyne

Found this vintage quilt top at Log Cabin Dry Goods, it’s coming apart, the stars are pointless and the fabric is faded and worn through in places. Pure sweetness.

That makes for guilt free frog stitching (rip-it, rip-it). I’ve used one of the stars in a miniature quilt collage already, kept it whole and used some of the pink border to sew mini Dresdens.

Last night I fell asleep dreaming about how I could use pieces of this quilt top. I really like the stars, they’re only 4″, so maybe another whole one will make it’s way into the next art piece. Hopefully this week I’ll have time to play with it.

What a great looking group of stars. The fabric is still in such good shape for using in other projects. I love to read about your visions of upcoming projects.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

Found your blog via the show your desk-blog. What a nice place it is, I love the quilt stars – they look old and are beautiful. Take care of those! :-)
