Hello all, how are you? The first Galloping Pony Cyber Retreat (not the last) is now behind us. There were Quilto games, many 9 patches made (for an exchange), UFO’s worked on, spaces cleaned, new friends made, several people already knew each other. It was a good time. After it was all done there was one last drawing and the winner is….Sally Keller! She has a blog for you to check out
http://sallysangelworks.typepad.com/
The prize includes a journal, 2 vintage star blocks, a new mini star block, cotton bole, vintage optometrist lens, ruler piece, pattern and linen burlap to make it with!
Also I would like to introduce a new Quilt Series. Step 1 is free just for you here! Inspired by an antique quilt. Other steps will be available soon.
Happy Monday.

I missed the post of where to send our 9 patch blocks. Can you help please? Thanks.
Send them to me. I emailed the address. (my address is on any email I send out)
Congratulations Sally! What a wonderful prize!
Virginia, can you tell us more about the linen burlap you use for projects? I remember seeing your designs in Pittsburgh and noticing the fabric you were using. It is not muslin, heavier, but not too heavy, correct? Thanks for a wonderful retreat. I had so much fun and got a lot done.
It’s linen burlap from MCG Textiles. Here’s a link: http://mcgtextiles.com/detail.cfm?ID=13 It’s what I used for the Market Tote and Vintage Grains.
Congratulations to the winner… what a wonderful prize…

Virginia, it sounds like you had a very successful retreat. I am sorry I wasn’t able to attend. I don’t have all the equipment needed to do those things on the computer. I love your new pattern and I know exactly what antique quilt your talking about. It is so beautiful with such a variety of fabrics. Your interpretations is beautiful.
Sally, congrats on your winnings. What wonderful prizes you won. Enjoy them.
The retreat was fabulous, thanks again, Virgina
Congrats Sally! Looks like a fun project.
Congratulations on a successful retreat and to Sally! I love the new Quilt series. I’m looking forward to doing the handwork using English paper piecing. Your example is a beautiful repreentation of the original.
Thank you for this free pattern. Love it. Will print it right away.
I’m so excited to do this project! Love the old antique quilt. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi, Virginia — I haven’t received an e-mail from you with the address to which I’m to send my retreat nine-patch blocks and I have 15 little blocks anxious to make new friends . . . perhaps you didn’t receive my e-mail on Sunday with my completed project list. Thanks for the retreat, and I’ll be looking forward to receiving the address.
My address is on any email you’ve received from me!
Virginia,
Do you need a SASE with the little nine patches?
thanks again for a fun retreat!
Janice
It’s not necessary but that would be nice, thanks for thinking of it. Any prize winners don’t need to send an SASE as I wouldn’t be able to use it since they have a prize coming that doesn’t fit in regular envelope.
a wonderful series quilt…thanks so much
