It was a drawer but I saw a shelf…
Found this drawer at a yard sale, liked the patina and could imagine the potential.
Now there’s a cork board and a little shelf with a collaged background. Simple and sweet. Not a miniature quilt block in sight I know but it was one of those things I couldn’t resist.
I’m off to set up at the Buggy Barn Quilt & Folk Art Show. It’s open Saturday and Sunday 10 am -4pm. Hope to see you there!

Virginia, I love this! I’m hoping to stumble on some drawers to use as serving trays .. but your idea is fantastic! I really must get out and hunt for more stuff … there *must* be good flea market finds here in Belgium I just don’t get out and hunt often enough. I’m blogging again … check it out if you have time. When I get the new studio re-arranged I’ll email too – have some Qs for you. Greetings from a cool autumnal day in Kalken, Jovita
One of these days I hope to get to that quilt show. It’s DH’s birthday weekend this year and I don’t think going to a quilt show is on his list for celebrating. Don’t get me wrong – he would take me to a quilt show and would enjoy it along with me, but not for his birthday.
Your drawer/shelf is very cute. You have such a good eye for seeing possibilities.
I want to be you!!!
I was just passing through and stopped at Buggy Barn on Monday. What a wonderful quilt shop and so full of inspiration!
Super nice gals too…Have fun and travel safe.
Ooh, love the new treasure you found. What a cleaver idea. I just love the cork board w/ the shelf. You have such a great imagination for creating wonderful stuff.
I’ve never been to the Buggy Barn yet. Would love to go some day. Hope you have a wonderful and successful time.
Will miss being at the show this year…can always hoope for next year. Hopoe it goes well for you. Love your shelf idea…turning trash into treasures!
