A Corn flower cigar silk, a log cabin (1/4″ logs) and, of course, words.
”What the sun is to that flower, Jesus Christ is to my soul. He is the sun of my soul.” Lord Tennyson as reported by a friend with whom the poet walked in his garden. How are you all? It feels very odd not to post on Fridays, like it’s been forever since I posted.
Working on quilting a linen quilt top I sewed at retreat. What are you working on?

What am I working on ?? Well, I took a minature log cabin block and glued it to cardstock – wrote a message around it – for a birthday card for a friend.
My first thought was this is not Friday. Glad to see you are creating away. I am trying to get a flying geese quilt top done. Will be done tomorrow! That cigar silk is really neat.
Love how you used that cigar silk! I am working on a block of the month called “Vintage Memories” through Two Thimbles. I absolutely love the fabrics and colors we are using. It is a huge quilt compared to the small Jo Morton pieces I am used to of late. with those itty bitty blocks..Our master bedroom needed a pretty new quilt though. I missed your post on Friday but hey you are allowed…..
I made my first maple leaf block last week and am going to finish up the little quilt pattern it came from, so I have three more to do. This is the first time sewing in over a year and I have felt like making something for fall. I have been spending time with my grandson and daughter and haven’t been in the mood for sewing until now. It’s cold and wet here, so perfect for indoor projects.
I love the blue/green combo log cabin with the cigar silk flower. Your felt project looks fun too. I love the embroidery and bead work.
Currently, I am working on many projects, but the one for tonight is a miniature Scrap Therapy pattern called Bloomin’ Steps. I am using 1930′s fabrics – about half done. I am also am working on a stool cover in wool – penny rug style exactly like yours except I have no beads. I love what you are currently doing.
