Here’s the 2nd row in the miniature row robin I’m in. It was night and I was impatient so the picture isn’t so good. Sorry ’bout that. Candy did the ducks, Julie the piggies and I sewed the quilters interpretation of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. Goldilocks is 2 1/2″ and the tiny ‘bear’ is 3/4″.
Aren’t these ducks the cutest little guys ever?
Here’s the link to Julie’s blog (she sends to me) and Diane’s blog (I send to her) Diane has a photo of my row that I sent out but forgot to photograph. Diane has a quilt in Paducah this year, a miniature no less so I may have to throw out my laid back attitude on perfection in miniature quilts. Only til her row is done that is. See her first row here. Just a little pressure! Egads.
Lastly a simple collage, with a simple mini quilt. The squares are my typical 1/2″. Easy, easy. The frames had some depth to them so I was able to add little spools of thread and lace. The words are pulled from a hymnal.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto me and rest; Lay down, thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon my breast. I came to Jesus as I was weary and worn and sad; I found in Him a resting place, And He has made me glad.
Have a warm and sunny Monday…it’s spring now after all!
Good Morning, Virginia
First off, I have to say how much I love the quilt collage. The hymnal is beautiful and of course the little quilt is so cute too.
The Robin Row looks like a lot of fun to do. Each row is so adorable and with such great imagination.
Thanks for always sharing.
Have a wonderful week.
Oaky, it’s official. This is my favorite post ever. Love the saying and love the spools of lace.
