Well done Virginia!!! Such beautiful colors and I like the squares with the center’s all different. I really like the quilting of bubbles every where. Our tastes do change because we are always learning new things in quilting and the fabrics out there are out of this world, so much to choose from. Lucky for us that are tastes do change not only in our quilting but also friendships. Everything gets better as we age. I’m very happy that you are still at the fabric store. What a great place to work to see first hand what is new!!!! Happy quilting!!!
I loved your other style, but I like this one too. I have also changed my tastes and am starting to be interested in mixed media art quilt so of style…. go figure
It was done on a longarm with a board (don’t know what they are actually called) that has grooves that I followed with a stylus. Messed up alot but with it laid out I don’t really notice the wobbles and overlaps.
Virginia,
It is so exciting to see your post this evening. I have missed you and your art so much.
Your quilt is beautiful. I have been enjoying the modern world of quilting lately too. I made a baby quilt using bright jewel tones for my nephew’s little girl. It was so much fun working with all the beautiful contemporary fabrics.
Nice way to start the week with an email from you with the photos of your newest endeavor..Really like it! A week or so ago I mentioned to both Lee and Karen how much I have missed your blog. I have gone through your entire blog journey and enjoyed it even more the second time around. Regarding your newest work as I said I really like it, kind of fresh and “sassy” and the quilted circles …very nice..I have always felt change is good! Thank you for sharing your change with us..
