Have I mentioned before that I love quilt retreat? I do. It was, as always, a blast.  I wish for you all the joy of a quilt retreat. Leslie brought a project she created after seeing one of the projects from Just As I Am. It holds her iPod. This shows the front where the hexagon strap keeps the iPod in. The leather strap has some fabric to make it comfortable on her neck.

Here’s the other side that has a pocket to hold the ear phone thingys when not in use. Cute isn’t it?

She also made the Just As I Am quilt. I’m dying to see it. I’ll show you the photo once I get it.

Have a great Monday.

Block 5

Don’t like the way the words are disjointed on this one. I’m thinking ironing freezer paper on the back of the fabric prior to writing would help with the distortion of the letters but then it’d be harder to trace. Guess I could write it out in my own handwriting  but use the printed words to gauge where they should begin and end. Maybe I’ll try that next time.

Block size: 2 ½”
A  1 @ 2 ¼ ” cut in half diagonally
B  4 @ 1″
C  1 @ 2 ¼ ” cut in half diagonally
D  4 @ 1″ x 2″

See ya.

Block 4

Let’s do another block today.

Block size: 3″
A 2 @ 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ cut in half diagonally
B 8 @ 1″ x 1″
C 8 @ 1″ x 1″
D 2 @ 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ cut in half diagonally
E 1 @ 1 ½” x 1 ½”

About as simple as you can get…

“Be Still”

Have a nice Monday. Maybe I’ll see some of you in Portland?

P.S. Twisted Papers has a really nice postcard (the backside) with beautiful script sent to Portland, Oregon USA Amerique 1929. It’s free in their April Newsletter!
